Sharon McCusker is a USDF Gold Medalist, and USET Long-listed rider who has ridden with many top U.S. and European Dressage trainers. Sharon draws from her experience riding with these professionals and tailors an approach that works for each individual horse and rider.

Sharon has a basic framework from which she approaches her schooling with the horse, based on the German training system: rhythm, relaxation, connection, impulsion, straightness and collection.

Her training philosphy incorporates these basic building blocks in everyday schooling. She also includes in her training system the use of ground work (long lining and in-hand work) as well as riding and schooling out of the arena - using varied terrain and external conditions to promote eagerness and freshness in the horses.
